Top 4 SEO Tips

SEO is a tricky beast to tame, and Google search updates make it more difficult every day. The best keyword strategies are always changing, and it can be frustrating to know which tactics you should be using and which no longer work. You should know there's no need to fear, ManoByte is here to provide you with the top SEO tips to expand the reach of your brand and great content.

Are you ready?

1. Your content must reflect your brand

In addition, your content should reflect what your audience is searching for as they navigate the Buyer's Journey. This tip is more about common sense than unlocking the mysterious, elusive power of search engine optimization. If you create content that has nothing to do with the subject matter of your brand, product, or services what makes you think your audience is going to engage and share your content?

Be sensible about the type of content that you create, and ensure that it aligns with the tone and subject matter of your industry. Study what words your personas use as they search, and optimize those phrases in your content title, summaries, and in the alt-text behind any images. Use websites like Buzzsumo to see what's trending in your field. Address the popular subjects, needs, and questions in your content for higher audience engagement and better SEO results.

Create meaningful, helpful content

Google loves brands that create helpful and meaningful content. It is one of the best ways to rank quickly for keywords in your niche. Your audience is going to love this type of content as well, and the chances that they continue to come back and consume your content will dramatically rise.

Think about the type of questions your audience will have about your brand to discover the best type of content to create. For example, if you have a food blog and it is the holiday season, consider creating content designed to help your audience learn how to prepare and cook delicious foods of the season. Your audience will consume and share your content with their friends and family, thus expanding the reach of your brand even further. To improve SEO, your business needs to add something new to the conversation, not reiterate old content that already exists online.

Link appropriately

To ensure your SEO game plan is rock solid, remember to link internally and externally. What we mean by this is simple: be sure to link to your content whenever it makes sense. This is called internal linking, and it is a great way to improve the ranking of your overall brand. Also, link to high authority websites whenever it is suitable. For example, if you own a blog dedicated to the latest medical news, it would be a good idea to link less common terms and jargon from reputable reference such as CNN.

Visual media is a must

Gone are the days when you could write blog posts as the foundation of your search engine strategy. Nowadays, creating visual media appropriate for your brand is mandatory, especially video content. From infographics to memes and beyond, people love consuming visual media - and this will ensure that your SEO is as commanding as you desire.

When it comes to SEO, the most important thing to remember is that it is an ongoing process. Once you are ranking for your most important keywords, there will still be mountains to climb. Do not get discouraged or overwhelmed by the range of information available. Instead, keep following the ManoByte blog for more tips and new techniques.
