Have you ever been to Boston? Part of the East Coast megalopolis, it’s absolutely saturated with US history, from its colonization in 1630 to being the birthplace of our revolution. But here at ManoByte, Boston has a very different significance: it’s home to HubSpot’s headquarters.
We are excited to launch our new series of interviews, "Meet the Sharks" here on the ManoByte blog. We're starting this series because we are often asked about why the culture at ManoByte is so great, and we always provide the somewhat generic answer of, "it's our people". WIth this series, we'll highlight those amazing people who work to make inbound magic happen for our clients each day, beginning with our CEO and leader, Kevin Dean.
As we’ve been telling you for a long time now, video is gaining more and more traction when it comes to effective inbound marketing strategies for businesses. It’s become a staple in the way your buyers learn how to fix their problems (Did you hear about that one lady who built an entire house by watching YouTube video tutorials? That’s our reality, my friends.) You may have noticed that today is International Women's Day, which is a celebration of women across the globe and a movement to reach out to help forge a better working environment in a more inclusive, gender-equal world. International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women. You might also notice the hashtag #beboldforchange trending on Twitter today, which is also dedicated to raising awareness of this topic.
I already know what you might be thinking: “What are you talking about? Shark Week happens in June, not this cold week in the middle of January!” And you would be right in saying that the popular Shark Week on the Discovery Channel does happen in June, but here at ManoByte, we celebrate our own little Shark Week in January, too. (For those of you who don’t know, we call ourselves “ManoByte Sharks” because “Mano” is the Hawaiian word for “Shark”)
All good things must come to an end, I suppose. Today marks the final day of HubSpot's INBOUND conference and boy did we master the "Work Hard, Play Hard" mentality this week, learning A TON from the HubSpot crew while having a blast around town in Boston.
