Here at ManoByte, we absolutely LOVE the weekends. That's not to say we don't love our Monday to Friday gig too, we just all agree that we need a little time to rest, rejuvinate, and get ready for the week ahead. And because of our love for all things that happen from Friday to Sunday, we thought we'd start a little something here on the blog to get you geeked up, too.

Every Friday, check back here to see some of the things happening in and around the Grand Rapids area that you might want to get in on.

Here are some of the highlights of what's happening this weekend, November 18th-20th:

International Wine, Beer, and Food Festival

It's no secret that our team loves all things wine-related, so you might see many of us over at the 9th Annual Food and Wine Festival at Devos Place. It's the largest Wine, Beer & Food Festival in the Northwest with 1600 wines, beers, spirits and ciders available for you to experience. Admission is $20, and don't forget that you must be 21-years-old with a valid photo ID to enter. (Note this is only happening on Friday & Saturday, so no drinky-drinky on Sunday.)

Grand Rapids Symphony: The Snowman

If you are looking for something more family-friendly, you won't want to miss this concert featuring a full movie and live music. It's happening at Devos Performance Hall on Saturday at 3:00 PM. The story captures a magical night for a boy and his snowman friend. The program will also include free pre-concert activities for children.

Grand Rapids Civic Theatre Presents: Beauty and The Beast

Get in and see this show before it's gone next month! It's based on the Academy Award®-winning, Disney film that has captured the hearts of many - old and young. Show times are 7:30 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 2:00 PM on Sunday. Get your tickets right here. This one is a teeny-weeny bit scary, so the recommended age is 6+.

Cocktail Week GR

It's the last weekend to enjoy Cocktail Week in GR! Join the fun as Michigan’s creative beverage capital celebrates the art of the crafted cocktail. Get into the spirits by "Pairing and Sharing," where you will receive 2 Michigan cocktails and a shared plate or appetizer for $25 at the many participating bars and restaurants. Find out more about the event and who's participating right here.

Also, The Griffins take on the Texas Stars at home at VanAndel Arena tonight ($2 beers and hot dogs), Holland Christian High School Presents: "Footloose!" and Founders Brewing is celebrating their Breakfast Stout with an exclusive event tomorrow morning.

Enjoy your weekend, friends!
