I already know what you might be thinking: “What are you talking about? Shark Week happens in June, not this cold week in the middle of January!” And you would be right in saying that the popular Shark Week on the Discovery Channel does happen in June, but here at ManoByte, we celebrate our own little Shark Week in January, too. (For those of you who don’t know, we call ourselves “ManoByte Sharks” because “Mano” is the Hawaiian word for “Shark”)
And as much as we would love to, we aren’t sitting in the viewing room of our office binge-watching shark movies on Netflix. ManoByte Shark Week means we are taking some time to bring our team together to learn, connect, laugh, and motivate each other to achieve even better results for our clients throughout 2017.
Here’s what we’ll be up to:
Monday at the Waldron
We’ll be taking a break from the office for an all day meeting at the Waldron in Grand Rapids. (Aren't we fancy?!) During the meeting we’re going to be talking all about where we’re headed as an organization as well as what each department is working on for continued growth throughout 2017. We’ll be eating a lot too, which is sure to be AMAZING.
Tuesday Means It's Time for a HUG
Despite what that title says, we won’t be going around hugging everyone we see. We’re hosting our first Grand Rapids HubSpot User Group (GRHUG) event for 2017. We’ll be talking all things Sales Enablement with Victoria Aviles, one of the founding Sales Enablement Team Members at HubSpot. She’ll be educating us about how to equip sales teams to close more business. There’s still time to RSVP if you want to grab a seat. It’s free, and lunch will be provided. RSVP right here.
Since we have so much happening on Monday and Tuesday, we think we deserve a little waffle treat. (When I think about it, we kind of always believe we deserve a treat, but that’s a topic for another day.) Waffle Wednesday will be happening at the office all day long, and I bet we’ll eat enough you’d think we were carb-loading for a marathon or something.
In the last couple of years, ManoByte has experienced tremendous growth. As many of you probably know, we grew to a point we had to move locations to accommodate our larger team. With that growth, we now have a number of teams throughout the organization who like to take some time to get together and celebrate our accomplishments and brainstorm how we can improve. Each of our teams will be taking off to enjoy some time together on Thursday.
We’ll end our week taking the team to a surprise location.
And have no fear, during ManoByte Shark Week we will still be available and servicing our clients, it just might take a few minutes to respond because we are probably making yet another trip over to the waffle maker.
