Hello all! Rachael, here. For the past two months, I have been working for ManoByte as the Digital Marketing Intern. Sadly, today is my last day here at ManoByte. In the wise words of William Shakespeare, “Parting is such sweet sorrow”.2019 intern-1

For my last assignment, I wanted to share a bit about myself and my experience here. Luckily, last year’s interns– Gabriella Fantozzi and Justin Dowty– were asked a few questions about their experiences here. So, it only felt right for me to do the same:

MB: Tell us about yourself and your education.

RM: I am an advertising major and photography minor at Grand Valley State University. On the days that I wasn’t the Digital Marketing Intern at ManoByte, I worked as the student photographer for GVSU.

MB: What do you love about interning here?

RM: From the beginning, everyone was so kind and welcoming. I really felt a sense of belonging. Not only that, but I got to learn so much all throughout my internship.

MB: What surprised you about your internship with us?

RM: I was shocked by how interested everyone is in each other’s success. Everyone seems to have each others’ best interests at heart, which was very moving. You really feel like you’re a part of the family here. Also, whenever I had a question or needed extra help, people were so quick to offer up their expertise and time.

MB: What was the biggest thing you learned?

RM: I would say the biggest thing I learned is that it is incredibly important to exude confidence in everything. When I first started, I had a lot of self-doubt. I learned very early on that, even though I might be nervous, I need to remind myself that I am prepared and skilled at what I do.

MB: Anything else you’d like to add about yourself and your internship with us?

RM: All of the work I did here helped me expand my horizons and try things that I would have otherwise not had the opportunity to try. I learned to never be afraid to ask for help and to always remember that, in order to succeed, you have to put your best foot forward. I am forever grateful for the memories I have made at ManoByte, and will never forget the kindness shown to me in my short time here.

I cannot thank the people at ManoByte enough for the amazing experiences and opportunities that I had here. This was truly an amazing adventure. Every experience was more exciting than the one before, and I really felt like I was exactly where I needed to be.
